Ogres And Orcs, Differences, Similiarities

Ogres & Orcs – Like Apples n’ Oranges?

Which are which? Orcs are known to be brutal and mindless but noble and honorable (to allies) while Ogres are know to be ugly, very large, and warlike with great strength. You have to admire both of them for their fighting ability. Orcs have had to reclaim their honor after being corrupted by the Burning Legion and now they just want to survive in the world they’re in (and not by their choice either). They are skilled fighters and take a brutal passion in war they believe brings them great honor.

Honor is very important to Orcs and they will die defending their honor for the clan or personal reputation. Orcs have a complex society with their leaders bestowing them with wisdom, honor and values. One of the few races that believe no matter what your gender you pull your own weight. Weakness is not tolerated and is punishable by the greatest humiliation an Orc can receive: exile. This perhaps is what makes them so fierce in battle without any empathy or humanity for any other race.

The Ogres, on the other hand, seem to revolve around violence, warfare, and strength. The only way to move up in rank for them is to eliminate their competitors. The only thing they admire is strength or being bested in combat. Being as big as they are they can carry twice as much as anyone else but it take a lot more to heal them if their injured. Since most think they are stupid, very large beast with no thoughts they can deceive their opponents in to a false sense of security.

They are deceptively cunning warriors that will gather their forces and take out whatever gets in their way. They tend to stay away from other races all the while building up their own race. They often will test a group to determine their power by making displays of aggression all the while staying out of range of their opponent’s weapons. They are dedicated to any fight they take on only breaking off if their leader commands it. Which would you choose to meet in battle?
